Beginning January 1, 2026, CAAS Standards Version 4.0 is the only standard agencies may use when seeking CAAS accreditation or reaccreditation. Earlier versions (including Version 3.0) are available for historical reference only and may not be used for application or compliance review purposes. As part of our ongoing transition to CAAS Standards Version 4.0, we want to remind you of an important upcoming deadline. If your agency intends to submit an application for accreditation using Standards Version 3.0, your complete application package and fees must be received by CAAS no later than December 31, 2025. Beginning January 1, 2026, CAAS will only accept applications prepared using CAAS Standards Version 4.0. This ensures all accredited agencies continue to meet the most current, ANSI-approved national standards for quality, safety, and operational excellence. The Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) today announced an updated application fee structure that will take effect on January 1, 2026. This adjustment marks the first fee change since CAAS was founded in 1992 and reflects the organization’s continued commitment to setting the national standard for ambulance service accreditation.
